Fishing techniques have evolved steadily over the years, including the rapid expansion of hard body lure fishing, and the new Millerods Control Freak ‘TwitchFreak’ rods are at the cutting edge of tackle technology.

TwitchFreaks are rods for hard body lures. The length, action, and power are all specifically designed to work together in order to deliver you the highest performance for this type of fishing.

This includes casting distance that belies their modest length, incredible sensitivity and the perfect amount of tip power to impart action to your lure.This is the Ultra-Light model, designed for casting and twitching lures in the 2-7gm range including crankbaits, shallow and medium divers, and also surface lures.

Very importantly, the TwitchFreak returns amazing conversion rates on hooked fish with the action kind to hook-holds of small trebles yet still packing some punch to fight the fish via the multi-loading blank action!

The TwitchFreak perform with both mono (FC) and braid lines, as the guide trains can be customised to fish one or other, or both.

Guide options are Ian’s composite titanium guide set (comprising a Fuji titanium K-SiC stripper with Recoil titanium alloy wire guides in Black Pearl) or full Fuji titanium KR guide train in Ian’s own semi-micro selection.

Fuji SKSS reel seats and hand-shaped x-firm EVA in Camoufish or black are matched with our custom stainless steel/rubber counter-weighting butt cap.
