The BassFreak is specifically designed for fishing river bass, in the most lightweight handle style you'll find on the sweet water.

Whether using  soft plastics, spinnerbait, diving or surface hard-bodied lures you can punch a cast in under, around or even through overhanging trees with the pin-p oint precision needed to tempt big, wily river fish.

Perfect for the canoe or kayak, this is the rod to use for traditional techniques with a modern approach.

There is a choice of guide trains. Ian’s composite titanium guide set (comprising a Fuji titanium K-SiC stripper with Recoil titanium alloy wire guides in Black Pearl) is corrosion proof and super lightweight; or Ian's own semi-micro selection of the latest Fuji KR guides keeps the guide set ultra-light, and makes this rod suitable for both braid/leader combos and monofilament lines.

Either option will enhance balance and the sensitivity.

Fuji SKSS reel seats and hand-shaped x-firm EVA in Camoufish or black are matched with our custom stainless steel/rubber counter-weighting butt cap.
