‘Mudders’ are a special fish, fantastic to sight cast and exciting to catch – but notoriously hard to approach and hook in clear shallow water.

This rod is designed to cast long and accurately, with the right amount of power to propel the lure easily. The tip power is specifically designed to impart action at the vital moment in the retrieve via that all-important ‘twitch’.

But equally important, the action is still soft enough to protect the hook-hold of fine treble lures in big fish, and it is equally capable fishing braid/leader rigs or mono lines like FC ‘straight through’. The specific medium action of this custom blank makes the ‘Mudder’ a very special rod…
